Bunker Mood Board (2019) reflects Mayer's continued investigation of the cross over between bunker/fall out-shelters and approachability through its expression of research in aesthetics and practicality. Through the lens of the millenial’s DIY crafts sphere, Bunker Mood Board is a solution for the everyday person that fills their shared apartment with plants (instead of children), prefers to spend their weekends doing pottery (as a refuge from their computer screens), are unable to pay off debt, let alone even consider buying a house. As this generation faces ecological, infrastructural, and environmental uncertainty, this installation promotes preparing to live underground or in a flat-packing residence customized to one's particular creative taste. #recycle #reuse #reduce #restore #bunker
