Post Modem-A collaborative art band and a feature length film.
Post-Modem is a South Florida-based performance art collaboration composed of a small group of local and international artists that strive to make intelligent pop music based in art theory. The original songs that are created will be used in a feature length musical film that is being written, produced, and created in South Florida by artist Jillian Mayer and filmmaker Lucas Leyva. The film takes place in the future and deals with themes of digital identity and net neutrality.
Post Modem also dives into interdisciplinary mediums by creating software apps, poetry, installations and internet programs. It is difficult to explain because it has never been done before, but it is a fully interactive, immersive, multi-platform project that seeks to combine art, technology, and pop culture to create a new experience.
The film is in pre-production and will be finished in September 2013.
